Our historic and enchanting venue has been a place for guests to stay for over 300 years. With nine boutique bedrooms entwined in our deep and rich heritage makes The Bear Hotel your home away from home.

Ideally positioned 10 minutes from Esher Station, the Bear Esher provide the best location for both you and your four-legged friends. Discover our local area or quickly transport yourself to Central London to explore the city within 30 minutes. With Heathrow Airport only a 20 minute drive away, Hampton Court Palace on our doorstep, and if horses are your thing, Sandown Race Course minutes away; we have something for everyone who wants to explore Esher.

Dog Friendly Holidays

Our dog-friendly bedrooms provide everything you need to keep tails wagging this summer. Complete with their own doggy bed or blanket, bowl and tasty treats, plus a selection of scenic walks at Esher Common just a bones throw away, there’s no need to leave anyone behind this holiday. Up to two pooches can stay with you, where available, for an additional £15 per night per room.

Dog House Rules

Each of our dog-friendly bedrooms has space for 2 dogs and is charged at £15 per night per room, whether you bring one or two furry friends.
Although most people’s days are brightened by seeing a dog, please keep other guests in mind.
We know your doggy may be excited about your getaway but, please keep in mind that there may be a cost for any doggy damages.
We don’t like the idea of your pup getting lonely, so please do not leave them unsupervised at any time.
Your room will come with dog treats, a dog bed or blanket and a dog bowl. However, we know dogs love their own beds so feel free to bring your own.
There’s nothing better than when your four-legged friend comes with a friend of their own, but please note we cannot accept any more than 2 dogs per room.
It goes without saying that your doggy may get muddy. Your room comes with a dog blanket but if your dog is particularly large or enjoys getting very muddy then please bring an extra blanket for them.
We know your doggy might get comfy on the sofa at home, but while with us please keep dogs off the beds and soft furnishings.
