Christmas Parties

We know that there just aren't enough weekends in December to fit in all the Christmas parties you need to do, so we start ours in November.
Whether you're booking the annual office knees-up, your family get-together, or a pop-another-bottle Christmas lunch with pals, we'd be happy to have you here in our cosy pub in the heart of Esher.
Sunday Roast
Every Sunday

Looking for a country feel pub for your Sunday roast? At The Bear we offer an amazing variety of roasts for every person in the family with vegetarian and children roasts all on offer.
Whether you fancy one of our roasted rosemary and mint lamb shoulder roast, roasted striploin and feather blade steak roast, 1/2 roast chicken roast or our roasted mushroom, carrot and spinach wellington roasts - we have got you covered! Why not also try one of our six delicious Sunday sides, all of which are vegetarian and gluten free!
Rest assured that our Head Chef Marius has curated our Sunday menu so that everyone can share in the love and joy of a Sunday Roast.
Sunday Night Quiz
Every Sunday
8:00pm - 10:00pm
Come and put your knowledge to the test with our Quiz master. £2 entry for the quiz and we'll provide you with a little nibble at half time.
There will be multiple rounds of questions along with a round of Play Your Cards Right which is always for a great cause.
A great way to round off the weekend and beat those Sunday Night blues. Can't wait to see you all there!
Lunch time Wreath making work shop
Wednesday 4th December
11:00am - 2:30pm
Join us for creative fun at our Luxury Christmas Wreath Workshop, where you will take home new skills to create your own seasonal door wreath.
Don't worry, no experience is necessary, as our team of in house florists will be here guide you every step of the way.
Our class runs for approximately 2.5hrs to allow plenty time for our students to create their wreaths.
All you need to do is wrap up warm and come along with plenty of festive cheer! Everything you need to create your own unique* door wreath will be proved.
Tingle Creek party No.1

If you're going to the Sandowns Tingle Creek on the 6th December, We have your evening plans sorted regardless of whether you've won or lost! Come and join us at the Bear for live music by Cellar Door who wowed the crowd last year followed by party anthems until late. being only a 3 minute walk from the gates why go anywhere else? Don't miss out and we hope to see you soon!
Don't forget were also open from 8am for Breakfast and drinks from 10:00am before the races!

With the lights twinkling, excitement in the air (plus a glass of something mulled in your hand) it's no wonder it's some people's favourite day of the year. Whether Christmas Eve means a late breakfast with the family, a lunch with your nearest and dearest or a tipple or two with your best friends - no matter how you want to celebrate, do it at your favourite local pub (that's us)
Christmas Day 2024
Wednesday 25th December
12:00pm - 5:00pm
It's the most holly-jolly time of the year, and we can't wait for you to feast your eyes on our button-popping Christmas Day lunch.
More generous than Santa, our chefs will be piling plates high with all your favourite festive foods, and all those yummy-scrummy traditional trimmings.
Book you (and your seasonal squad) a table to dine, or wander on in and raise a pint for the big day.
Twixmas
Friday 27th December

Traditionally, the time from the 27th til 30th December is nicknamed Twixmas. We say it's the perfect time to chill at the pub (plus carry on snaffling up the great seasonal treats) and catch up with friends. If you're at a loose end during the weird 'crimbo limbo' phase, come and hang out here.
New Year's Eve Garden Party

Garden party and live music from 1800 till late with the one and only Dessie Magee! Come and join us for our NYE garden party, where all you have to do is show up and have a great time! No ticket needed, No dress code, LOADS of fun!
